locally, was wondering if anyone had any input, I havent updated my desktop in years, so I dont know what these new fangled terms mean. Which of course, wouldnt help when buying a notebook anyway.

Well would depend on what you plan to use it for.  Gaming?  I look at the specs and don't see much gaming in that one.

I got it in the end, it's mainly for school, and maybe watching movies. Sadly, in every single way its considerably better than the desktop I use to pay WoW, hehe. The only thing thats better for my desktop is I have a dedicated video card. So far it seems to be doing fairly well, Vista is kinda funky.

/agree... There is no gaming in that at all... You planning on gaming on it, work, just general use?
