i wouldn't think so, but I would watch the temps closely. It wouldn't be a big deal to change the heat sink later, if needed.

Personally, I would never use the retail fan.  Regardless of how well my case is going to perform, I would always step up the CPU cooler..... just my opinion.  I would not go with Zalman... just too many bad experiences myself.  I do like the Tuniq and one other that escapes my mind right now, but whichever you choose, make sure you look up some reviews to be sure it will fit and clear heat pipes, caps, etc.

I know the Tuniq will fit but then I lose the fan on the side.

Hmmm.... have you looked at the Thermal Right stuff like the Ultra-120's?  These coolers rock without a fan, but adding something like a Sony Scythe fan would really keep things cool.  I set Brent up with one of these coolers on the system I sold him.... AFAIK, he hasn't had any issues.

opinion needed:

with the Antec 900 case with 5 120mm and 1 200mm fans do you think I will need a special cpu cooler like a Zalman 9700 or Tuniq tower? I am thinking I wouldn't.

But everything is set in stone now...not going to change it anymore...

I got the Antec 300 on the cheap (40 bucks) monday with the retail fans and the thing is fucking cool. The stock fans are quiet too. I think having the psu at the bottom and the top exhaust port is golden. I would wait and see, you should be good to go in my opinion.
