a "friend" started a website

Ok,
So me, i mean my friend, and his wife started a site that reviews adult toys and products. It is new and I have finally got it tuned where I like it to start adding content now. I am an affiliate with Amazon and Adamandeve and anything someone sees on the site and clicks through to and eventually buys, i get a percentage of that amount. (doesnt cost any more that if you just went to the site plan out). But what is really cool is if someone clicks through to Adamandeve and signs up for an account, i get a percentage of whatever they buy for the life of the account. Yes the dollar signs are dancing in my dreams.

Can a few of you guys look at my, i mean my friends site and give your opinion on the
1.layout/ad placement etc.? Is it too much? Too little?
2.Does the domain name make sense?
3.How fast does it load for you?
4.Do you think this would be successful?
5.What functionality do you think is missing?
 I understand there is not much content right now, that is going to change on a weekly basis but before I start pimping it out on the net I wanted to make sure it was decent looking.

First, I modified your web url so when our site gets googled, it will pick up your url and give you an extra notch in the rankings.  Make sure you use the entire URL when you post it anywhere.  

Second, proofread what you type.  You have a typo in your last review..... you say "real set it off".  I assume you mean to say that it "really sets it off".  If people are going to take you seriously and respect your reviews, you'll need to make sure your spelling and grammar is good.

Adult toys and novelties is a HUGE market and lots of opportunities if you play it right.  I wish you guys luck with this.  Keep us posted on how things turn out.

The categories tab on the righthand side has inconsistant captial letters in the beginning.  Also in your reviews it looks better to spell out the number in most cases.

Overall a good site.  Though I might suggest a different font for the title (something a little cleaner) or an actual title bar.

I quite like it, it looks friendly and somewhat professional and not cheesey (i.e. heaps o' colours and over-the-top porno images & backgrounds)

It's great to have a simple page like what you have, I'd do what Brent said above as it is a little distracting that the capital letters are not consistent but really these are minor touch-up details

Erm, apart from that, couldn't open the 'entries' page - I was wandering what this page is because I was thinking it would be good to have an area where the general public can send in images/comments/suggestions on products that you have not listed or reviewed yet.

What I would suggest is that you be careful with this; rather than letting them upload photos and stuff straight onto the site, set up an email account (large space) so if anyone wishes to enter a product not reviewed yet, get them to email you a pic and description, after which you can filter through what is worthwhile and what is just trashy porn from people that wish to be famous.

Thanks for the advice Gingerfarkas. I hadn't thought of that. I will set up an email dedicated for just that. If the review that was emailed was good enough I could set the user up as a contributer. I  hadn't even considered that. Thanks.

No problem, as long as they don't ask for anything in return in a sense; they might want a share of what you get out of the site (rare, but in this world...)

I believe I did click the RSS thingo... wasn't sure if those pages were viewable or not but now when I click the links it takes me to google favourites (under meta, right hand side) - I just noticed comments did that too but I have no idea what RSS means lol
