Happy 4th everyone! I have a lot of friends who became American Citizens within the last year, we're throwing a huge party tonight

Hope y'all had a great 4th!  Lil and I took a nice long walk last night to look at fireworks and hopefully induce labor.  Unfortunately, our daughter is as stubborn as her parents and refuses to budge.

You know I heard there's a great way to help induce labor, and I'm certain you know how to do it.....  :)

One thing that helped Jen was walking up and down stairs sideways. It causes the hips to open up a bit more.

As for the fourth, I luckily only had to work one mission and got the second one off, so yay for being able to go to 2 BBQs!

BTW volk.... please pass on my thanks to yourself and all the other men and women you work with and near.  I, and hopefully many more, sincerely appreciate your sacrifice for this country.  Without our brave military we wouldnt have the oppurtunity to celebrate with BBQ's and fireworks and the like.  Sometimes we lose sight, what with our high gas prices and sluggish economy, but as I said it could be a lot worse and we must be thankful for what we have and thank the ones who provide it for us in some form or fashion.

You bring up the few things bad that came from the "Mother" country. What about Ozzy, Rolling Stones, Iron Maiden and many many more. Hell if it wasn't for England dentists would be out of work! Ohh don't forget about the Pubs at every street corner!

I didn't see anything worthwhile in that list?

Consider yourself smited for dissing Maiden and Black Sabbath by proxy of Ozzy. 

Not to mention pubs.  Shame on you Rando.

Pubs would have gotten here via the Celts eventually, I won't give the brits credit for that. I own a maiden CD and I'm a fan of the Zepplin, but I refuse to let the Brits off because of a handful of decent music.

These two songs alone make up for 200 years of british imperialism and a millenia of bad teeth.

Smite me all you like, that's just not enough for me. My musical tastes appear to be a bit different.

I've adjusted the music playing on TS to insure the inevitable invasion of Classic Metal into all of our lives, which includes many English bands!

 

I like a lot of classic metal, so tis fine by me! I'm going to start a Moulin Rouge soundtrack night on TS as well!
