1) As Rando astutely noted, there's no way that car (given, it is a pretty small car) made it through that gap in the fence and came to rest in the position and angle that you see it. 2) The article says the car was moving 40mph and launched into the pool. This would put the car much further away from the wall than it is. 3) It is common knowledge that Miatas float.
