ok. I work in a gigantic hospital filled with a billion different lovely dieases. We have gigantic growths growing on people, MRSA FTW, we have several therapists with whooping cough and one other with a possible case of TB. So I get sick a lot. I have currently been sick with a horrendous sinus infection and a lovely intense burning sensation in my chest.

I was taking tylenol cold and it was helping with my stuffy nose but wasn't doing anything for my sinuses. I kept blowing and blowing and blowing and the snot was everflowing. At one point I lost my mind and decided I would try to clear out my entire nasal cavity even if it took me all sunday afternoon. I was determined. So I go into full nose blowing and snarking mode. SPUTUM BE GONE! Oh my god it just kept coming and coming.....kinda like Turk and his cougar. About 10 minutes into it I having a raging headache. I will win or die trying at this point.

So I decide to keep on blowing as hard as I can. All of a sudden I feel like gigantic pop in my head and there is no more snot is my nose.

Normally I never look at snot.....just like I dont gander at the destruction I shat into a toilet bowl. But I was like that was unnatural and the tissue seemed to weigh 8 pounds.

I open it up....I look....in it was a GLOB of snot about the size of a McDonalds Chicken nugget.

WTF.

I started dry heaving and then decided to just full on yak. That thing was disgusting.......but I am clear as a bell. I shouldn't have looked.

I coughed up something once that spread out to the size of a pancake once it hit the ground.  It sounds similar to what you just described. 

It's gross, but it sure does feel great to get that shit out of your sinus' and lungs.

What?  This isn't my fault?  How can this be?

Troyer, it's only your fault if Red's nuts are involved in the story. 

You should learn to be more gentle with those things.

I've been sick with bronchitis and gotten those things out too... infection always went away within a day or two of getting rid of 'em. Fun.

I had one of those puppies come out during a bad sinus infection.  They are called Muci Globi and are usually home to a small family of African pygmies...swear to god.

When I got to the part about dry heaving I lost it and couldn't get over that sentence. ROFL ;D

In the name of Science, and on behalf of everyone here or not here, I request that you, Red Goddamn Dawn, carry a camera or camera equivalent with you at all times and record your horrible and disturbing illnesses whenever they occur and present them to us here. We all look forward to it and TMI thread #4.
