Yep, finally taking a vacation.  Kind of last minute because my sister is going to NC to visit my mother and celebrate her birthday, so I figured I'd pop in while she's there and pay a surprise visit.  One of the things on the agenda:  Lehigh Acres Florida...this is the big point of the trip, my father left us kids a parcel of land down there, and noone has seen it in like 40 years so....why not go check it out...(probably in the ghetto). 

I was originally going to try to time this for around the time Red and Grabass were at the outer banks but things aren't working out that way, and really want to surprise my mother.

So...anyone gonna be around Columbus next week?  Not exactly sure what day I'm leaving (probably tuesday) but could probably swing by for dinner or some shit like that if anyone is alive and kicking....

BTW I should mention, I just got a new (used) truck, and don't plan on having an agenda for this trip.  Just point it and go....so there's no saying if noone is around next week I couldn't stop by on my way back north.

Leaving Tuesday morning not sure what time exactly, whenever I roll outta bed and drink a pot of coffee.

I will take a half day tuesday and all of wednesday off.

I have to be in Charlotte Wed afternoon, so don't take a day on my behalf.  It's the only appointment I have to keep.  And Joel, I need your phone number so's I can make some contact when I roll in.

I'll try to get off work early (around 6ish) tuesday.  Looking forward to it!

LOL this is how relaxed this vacation is...not sure when I'm leaving, but I figure I'll get into town sometime early afternoon maybe.  I think when I wake up I am just gonna want to hit the road so...the rest we can play by ear.

There's Montgomery Inn which makes pretty darn good bbq in hilliard, but Hoggys is also good as well.

One thing I forgot, one of my employees is a die hard Ohio State fan, wants me to get him a hat "it has to come from ohio state" And has been prattling on all week (since he heard  I was going) that he wants a job in columbus.  You guys have any "fluffer" openings there?  hehe

hoggys sucks, montgomery inn is way pricey - talking 20-30 bucks a play, i suggest city bbq.

Ladies Ladies.. Most of those places are pretty customizeable with sauces and such, so if it sucks its YOUR fault.  Or if you complaint is with the quality of the beef/chicken/pork itself then you're just being way too picky.  :P

There's also Shane's Ribshack that we could go to (but seating isn't great there.. then again neither was Thurmans).  Then other Steak-related places like Longhorn and Outback.. For more Burger related joints Joel mentioned Graffiti Burger, then there's also 5 guys.
