The subies sounded better... boxer engines FTW.  And yes, just because you've got great car control and make sweet videos doesn't mean you're going to be awesome your first year in WRC.  I hope he gets some decent finishes during the last few rallies to give him some momentum into next season.  I also hope that the Subaru factory team makes a return next season (I can dream, can't I?).  Maybe they could get Travis Pastrana to run WRC...he's a better rally driver than Block, IMO.

Will anyone ever beat Loeb?  F that frenchie and his other-worldly off-road driving ability.

The American drivers are all jokes compared to the Europeans.  Loeb is the shiiiiiiit.  That sonofabitch has an ocean of talent behind the wheel.  Jari-Matti Latvala is putting on a good show this year as well, but Sebastien Ogier is the real head-turner this season.  Ogier's been consistently in the top 10 in the last couple seasons, but this year he's haulin' balls.  So much so that he gets bumped ahead of Sordo (Tom's doppelganger) as Citroen's #2 points man on the non-tarmac events.  Petter Solberg has had a very impressive return to form this season now that he's picked up some sponsorship and a competitive ride.  There's a very good chance he'll pull out a victory before the end of the season.  Hirvonen is a hellu-good driver too, but his confidence seems to have been shaken by some early-mid season problems with engine performance, suspension failures, and a series of unfortunate offs.

Maybe it's just because they grow up with this shit or all of their roads are shitty like rally courses, but those non-English speaking European countries crank out phenomenal drivers.  Not so much in America.  Aside from Pastrana (who is just kind of a mutant) and Block (who's kind of a doofus), who else do we have?  Tanner Foust.  That's who.  And I would pay serious money to see him covered in chum and dropped in a shark tank.  I can't stand that little fuck.

I wouldn't hold your breathe on the Subaru thing.  You'll probably only see them driven by privateer teams for another season or two, if Suby even comes back at all.  With them gone, I've enjoyed watching Citroen stomp a mudhole in Ford's ass the last couple years.  (I'm not a Ford guy, sorry Stu/Red/Turkley)
