Title: Re: HAWKES: Have you seen this yet? Post by: Stugots on October 11, 2010, 02:24:22 PM Yep, thats what Blender is, I think I remember Hawkes playing with that software, but wasn't sure. Pretty cool that that was created with something that is free though.

Title: Re: HAWKES: Have you seen this yet? Post by: Nightstalker on October 11, 2010, 09:51:03 PM I've used Blender for the mod im working on. Its a good program for many things, of which I use to make LODS.
That would take quite a bit of work to make such a presentation. Title: Re: HAWKES: Have you seen this yet? Post by: Hawkes on October 12, 2010, 01:32:39 PM Yes Stu I have seen it. Blender is absolutely amazing for being open source. Anyone doing 3d or animation should seriously look in to Blender. If you've used 3DS Max or any of the commercial modeling programs, you will find Blender to be very comparable both in respect to what it can produce as well as the mechanics behind it. It may take a but more time and have a little bit of a learning curve, but you can't beat free.
