Title: VerizonMath Post by: Hawkes on January 10, 2007, 07:15:08 PM This is just too funny to pass up. There's so much to this, it's easier if you just browse the site. Start at the beginning of the blog and listen to the original audio call. You will not believe how long this goes on and how clear the guy is, but VZW still doesn't get it.

I could understand if maybe there was one rep who was not really paying attention (like I don't pay attention during every call I'm on) and didn't pick out what he was getting at, but he has talked to several people and NONE of them can wrap their minds around the concept. $.002 very much does NOT equal ¢.002
Title: Re: VerizonMath Post by: BCBrent on January 10, 2007, 10:12:42 PM Verison Wireless has Calltech (a company here in columbus) do alot of their customer support calls, or at least, did when I was employed there.
Calltech's (or, they 'may' be telecommunications now) turnover rate is so incredibly high that they will take anyone with a high school diploma an the ability to blink once in a while. Verison was also a pretty large portion of the main office here, so they have alot of new people. There is a good chance that, after talking to 4 reps, it is very possible to speak to people who have no idea what the difference between a part of a dollar and a part of a cent. Which, of course, has nothing to do with how 'new' someone would be, but some of the people they find to manage phones at customer support places will make you shudder. (IE, JT, imagine having an office full of customer support reps and a good 1/4 of them are people like Dan, if Dan ever got a call like that we'd have to bang our heads against the wall) |
