I need opinions on what is the best to get these days. The local station that I listened to has just replaced their morning show with Bob and Tom and I'd rather shoot myself than listen to Bob and Tom.
I know that both companies combined into one not too long ago, but I recall hearing that one or the other had a better audio quality. And if anyone has opinions on specific radios, those would be helpful too.

In audio quality, XM had always done better technology wise, however, everyone's ears are different and the reviews I read made that point. Basically, YMMV (your mileage may vary). I have had XM for years and never had an audio issue, but then again, I am not an audiophile listening for small nuances that would ruin my listening experience. Go to a Best Buy or Circuit City and listen for yourself.... that's the best advice.

I was day One XM but moved over to Sirius after XM kept jerking around the channels I listened to so they could make room for baseball and Oprah. I like the programming at Sirius better for the music channels.

I have never listened to XM, but I have Sirius and its pretty good. It won't matter after too much longer since they are combining.

Just my opinion, but sat radio sounds like you are listening to music on a fisherprice radio in a trash can.
