Anyone keep fish?

I have a tank with African Cichlids and yesterday I was cleaning out the tank and found my 2 Jewel Cichlids have some kids now. What should I do with them? Not sure how long they will last with the other cichlids swimming around.

I keep fish, but they are goldfish and I am pretty sure the cichlids will be dicks to them or die instantly because goldfish ooze ammonia from every orifice constantly.

Hmmm...that's a tough call... you could get a screen-type device and separate them from the big guys until they're large enough to survive.

In your local pet store they have enclosures to put the baby fish in. It stays within the main tank.. Do it as soon as possible or the babies will be eaten.

Seperate them with a plexi glass shield they sell them at the pet store,or they will be luch for mom and dad....I'm hooked with aquariums i have a 20 gallon tropical freshwater tank and a 55 gallon saltwater that I am starting in a next  week...
