Summary of Duties: This position is responsible for the development, management, and support of public computing labs and classroom instructional technology. Key responsibilities include operating system management and support for Apple Macintosh and Windows systems, application packaging, testing, and deployment, and operating system image development, testing, and deployment. The position also assists in the maintenance of server and network and client management infrastructure. Provides expert level Incident and Problem management within classroom and lab environments and participates in the Change and Configuration Management processes for the Office of the CIO according to ITIL best practices. This role is also responsible for supervising student incident response activities during regular business hours.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer & Information Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience; proven record of providing exceptional customer service in a technical environment; strong technical and mechanical aptitude and the ability to trouble-shoot and logically solve problems; experience using a Service Knowledge Management System (SKMS); demonstrated experience with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, including Windows 2000/XP/7 and Server 2003/2008; knowledge of Microsoft enterprise services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and infrastructure services such as DHCP and DNS; demonstrated experience in a variety of software packaging and distribution technologies such as MSI editing, Wise, Installshield, and SMS/SCCM; demonstrated experience developing, testing and deploying desktop software images.
