Anyone ever played?
I was watching some CoH machinima tonight and it made me think of reactivating my account to see how it is these days.
I'd probably just spend all my time creating characters like I used to though. (so many good superhero ideas).

I played it for a little while, but I don't think I ever got above level 30 or so. Always ended up not liking the power sets I picked.
Though it'd certainly be something to do until Warhammer comes out

I only played Villains.
It is such a great concept but the mission system and the missions themselves are dreadful. I did have a lot of fun creating different things though. That, and any game where you can throw a car at someone is always a great idea.

I played before WoW. Had a 50 Blaster, several toons in the 30-40 range, and some villains that never got past 20.
The problem was, You take forever leveling, and while leveling so very very slowly the game is all "go to this door, kill everyone/grab glowies/beat boss, repeat" and then, eventually, you get to 50 and ... and ... Nothing. no endgame, no progression, no way to improve yourself, Nothing.
So what now? make another alt and grind grind grind or move on to a new game.
CoH had such potential, it was FUN to be the superhero, it was great to take on 10 mobs at once and feel powerful, then fly through the skies like a god. they never realized their potential though.
Plus the "great Enhancement diversification" nerf really ticked me off.

I had several toons in it, but yeah, like Argolorn said, after the enhancement nerf, it was annoying, then so went went villian it became annoying to try to find groups, and I wasnt' going to pay that much money for the same damn game with a few new skins and animations. I do miss the friends I made there though... except glummy, who I drug over to WoW...hehe
