I'm intrigued, but a lot of the success consoles get is with first party games (ie, Microsoft and Nintendo made games).  I don't know how they will fare without that.

saw this on engadget

"And if you think publishers will never buy in to the model, think again: Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Take-Two Interactive, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, THQ, Epic Games, Eidos, Atari Interactive and Codemasters are already on-board."

I'll admit the idea is really intriguing. The problem will be getting past internet outages. An advantage regular consoles have is that if you've got a TV and electricity you can play. If my ISP is being douchy one day it will severly impact my ability to play using Onlive.

PC World is the most biased, propagandist rag piece of shit I have ever laid eyes on. I hate it with a passion

That doesn't make their points any less true. I think bears are the uggliest fucking animals on earth, but that doesn't make their teeth/claws any less sharp.

Red, I see what you did there.

I'll remain cautiously optomistic.  I didn't see till this morning that it is more PC based to that could technically work very well with that market, but PC gaming hasn't really been on the up these days.  That and I think lacking first party publishers will make it harder to compete as well.
