Also if you check on the FF14 forums there is a rapidshare/megaupload and instructions for the updates and also a way to use bittorrent to snag them down which might be much faster than the p2p the game tries for updates.

It doesn't look like my computer is going to be beefy enough to run it well enough to play. My video card could handle it, but it's bottlenecked at the mobo and I can't afford a new PC ATM.  |

It's not going to be a WoW type game where you jump in and get led to the special buddy prizes, you've got to do some reading! What are you looking for in particular? The starting quest in the city, you get just by creating a character walks you to the first camp and through the process of getting guild leves.
