So I just happened to be on ESPN Gamecast, and down in the bottom right is Jim Tressel, in the audio archive for Ohio State. What is that?

Many moons ago I was an OSU undergrad and had born witness to several painful seasons under the yoke of John Cooper. In 2001, Jim Tressel was plucked from Youngstown State to replace Cooper in no small part because Cooper had an abysmal record against our U of M foes (2-10-1). Shortly thereafter, I began playing Planetside and was faced with the daunting task of coming up with a character name. I was drunk, picked JimTressel, and the rest is history. Since everyone already knew me as JT, the name has stuck and I carry it from game to game.

I'm not actually the head coach of the Buckeyes. If I were, the first thing I'd do is teach the offensive line how to fucking block. What a joke last night's performance was.

Well you can't play highschool teams and be overrated all season long.

Sooner or later OSU might end up playing someone who can actually play some football, and playing St. Marys varsity football won't prepare OSU for such a tough competition.

I guess you could hope to get a overrated preseason ranking like how OSU did this year, then ride it down hill maybe squeaking by 1 or 2 semi tough opponents, though you'd run the risk of one of those teams actually playing good ball, and end up putting you in your place by showing you and everyone else what your real ranking should be. Kinda like what happened this past weekend.
