I was going down the highway and saw something going very slowly across the road. I got closer and realized it was a bunny whose back legs had been crushed, and it was trying to drag itself out of the road. I consider myself a pretty desensitized person, but I'll admit it got to me a little bit.

I'm going to have to disagree and say people that slam on the breaks or swerve erratically because of animals on a busy street/highway should be shot for risking causing a wreck that could injure or kill people. Dogs and Cats I make a concerned effort to avoid. I'd never really TRY to hit an animal, but I can't afford a new car, and I'm damn sure avoiding a squirrel is not legal justification for insurance or police. I'm not about to ruin my life for a squirrel.

Sure, it'll mess up your car, but it's better than going off the road or into another car.
