HDTVs

I'm planning on buying an HDTV in the coming months and I'm currently researching my options in the 32"-37" department and with a budget of $1000. I've found a few LCDs that I like, but I'm not sure if I should invest in the name-brand models or save some money and buy the budget models. I'm also leaning toward the Samsung LN-T3253H because of the good reviews, but there are so many other models that I'm probably missing out on some other great TVs.
Some models I've picked out:

Anybody have any suggestions?

Do yourself a favor and DON'T buy a name brand. The things you need to look for are a big contrast ratio, a small response time, and a big resolution.
The thing to know about LCD tv's is that the panels themselves are all pretty much made by a handful of big manufacturers (LG, Fujistu, Texas Instruments, et. al.). They're then sold to all sorts of little no-name companies and put in different shaped and colored cabinets, have different speakers put on them, and a different name. Olevia panels are just fine.
In fact, Olevia is owned by Syntax who also owns another little company you might've heard of called Vivitar. So definitely save yourself some bucks and go that route.

I have a friend who got an Olevia and it's really nice. The Westinghouse's are also really nice and are priced very nice.
As usual JT speaks the truth.

I Agree with JT. I have a 32' Westinghouse and I love it, and after 2 year warranty was still under $900...so even though some of the panasonics and sony's and other stuff look nice, the displays are pretty much all the same, you're just paying for the name on the box. Compared stat to stat, the tv i have matches Panasonic's same size tv but mine was $500 dollars less then the 32' panasonic....sooo

Awesome. Thanks guys, this should save me some cash. I think I'll probably end buying one of the Olevia models on newegg.

I hear that the less expensive models dont do so well with regular old standard def. just something to keep in mind. they lack computational horsepower. A good place to check out is dltv.com or search for Robert Herin from cnet. That guy Know his shit about hdtvs
