At least he didn't die though, he just "passed away".

George Carlin was one of the first comedians I listened to back around middle school/high school.  I've listened to numerous cd's/tv specials over the years and even read the book "napalm and silly putty" (which, btw, is one of the greatest bathroom reads of all time).  He's one of the few comedians that could make me laugh till tears started coming.

He will certainly be missed.

I never could get into his style of comedy, but I always felt his dialogue entertaining as he always highlighted alot of political issues and humored their particular situations.

He was at least passionate, and his material was original which says alot considering alot of comedians copy or alter others works... a guy named Carlos comes to mind, and his subsequent Rube Goldberg, which leads to some guy some where sending personal tells to another guy in a vitual game.

Said conversation in personal tells would have consisted of the Rio Grande, and something or other about oral operations.
