My only question is where are all thers billions coming from. sooner or later we have to start letting these companys fail, AIG should of sank last year as should GM and any other company that ran themself into the ground this bad. In nature its call culling the herd, the weak die while the strong survive, So that way the herd is stronger. Dont cry me a river about then i would be unemployed. Ive been then and done that and can tell you how bad it suck. Truly I can.  I think this should be the wake up call that maybe we shouldn't be buy shit we can't afford.

Not true I have just went underground to start the revolution. Helping organize a protest in Jefferson City (Mo state capitol) April 15th to protest unfair taxation and the bailout. Time to make our voices heard or start perusing other avenues of resurrecting America.

Congress can now punish?  Wait, what happened to that whole, you know, judicial system?  Checks? Balances? 
So the people in article are all about big business taking over the Government but I'm still leaning toward Government edging in on the private sector.  Did you know there is a bill in the MN House right now calling for GPS trackers in all MN registered vehicles so they can tax the miles you drive?  Or the other one that wants to force you to live in the same district as where you work and take as much public transit as humanly possible?  Check your states roster of Bill's in the works and I'm sure you will find something similar.
p.s. Really don't feel so bad for the execs at AIG anymore.
p.p.s. Congress is rejecting contract law which means reworking of the Union contracts!! (If companies are smart).

Hummm.. what I got from reading this is that AIG got its billions basicly from us. For those of yall that didnt read this all the way through, basicly CDOs were a way investers/banks lumped all there mortgages/loans/credit cards etc into a big pot. Called a CDO. If someone didnt pay there mortgage or whatever, then there is enought money in the pot to cover for it and no problem. Except that companies added to the CDOs, not a lot mind you- just enough to improve their credit rating and to be able to add more to the CDO. This was the first thing that started the snowball of what amounted to money vaporware. Making money off something that just isnt reality.

The next thing they did that fucked us all is CDS. Say Bank A gives Varg a home loan for a million dollars. Bank A is not so sure Varg can pay it back, so Bank A buys a CD from bank B for like 500 a month. The CD is like insurance. If varg cant pay, Bank B will pick up the tab and bank A is OK. Problem is, there was NO FREAKING PROOF REQUIRED that bank B could actually pay for Vargs mortgage. So bank B thinks, well as long as i sell enought CDS i will be able to cover it. To top it off Bank C can buy a CD from bank A or Bank B if they want, just to basicly gamble on weither or not Varg will pay his mortgage.

All of this has been going on for 10-20 years and its bullshit. I have been a free market idiot for a long time but my eyes are wide now. These fucking fat bastards are power hungry whores who have been been doing nothing but finding loopholes in the system (sometimes givin to them by the same people who run the system). When it boils down to it, the billions are coming from you and me. This bailout is fucking bullshit. We paying these assholes gambling debt.

See you think that congress is actually controlled by our elected officials. Everything is being pushed, and its going to get worse, by big business. The amount of money being thrown around right now is crazy. Assholes will take advantage of this and its not going to be those who need it, it will be those who are able and have power and you better believe they will have a hand in a pocket of a senator.
