The main strip area is nice but don't be afraid to adventure down to Old Vegas and see some of the stuff outside the strip.
If you are in a sightseeing mood that doesn't involve giant buildings and lights, Red rock near Las Vegas is amazing

I hear the hookers are pretty tainted, so you'll want to pass.
Go with something a little more classy and expensive.. call girls.
They're a little more pricey, but your chances to catch an STD are dramatically reduced.
